Pionex Card is now fully open for applications. Users only need to update the App to the latest version, and can follow the steps below to check and activate:

Step 3: Enter and confirm information

To ensure account security and compliance, applying for the Pionex Card must meet the following conditions:

  1. Complete Level 2 Identity Verification (KYC2)

  2. Account assets greater than the amount shown on the application page (This is an eligibility requirement for the card application, not an application fee. Your assets will remain in your account and will not be deducted.)

Cardholder name length: the cardholder's full name — first name and surname combined, including spaces — must not exceed 25 characters. If it is longer, the application form shows the error "Full name must not exceed 25 characters" and the application cannot be submitted.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: Is Pionex Card a credit card?

A: No. Pionex Card is a cryptocurrency debit card, not a traditional credit card. Before using, please ensure that funds have been transferred to the card account; otherwise, transactions cannot be made.

Q: Can a virtual card be used to withdraw cash from an ATM?
A: No, it is not supported. The Pionex virtual card does not have ATM withdrawal functionality.

Q: Does the virtual card need a PIN?

A: Only physical cards require a PIN. The virtual card does not use one — transactions are completed through in-app verification. If a merchant asks for a PIN, the transaction may have been misread as a physical-card transaction; please explain this to the merchant.

Q: Where is the Pionex Card issued?
A: Pionex Mastercard is issued out of Hong Kong or the United States. Pionex Visa Card is issued out of Singapore.

Q: Why can't I apply for a Pionex Card?

A: Possible reasons include:
1. Pionex account balance is less than the required amount
2. Account is restricted (e.g., under risk control, compliance review)
3. Your country/region is not supported for Pionex phone registration and identity verification (see the list)
4. The card you are trying to apply for is not offered in your KYC-verified country/region. In particular, if your KYC-verified country/region is Russia, the Pionex Visa Card is not available to you — apply for the Pionex Mastercard instead. (Entry: App [Wallet] → [Card] → [Apply Now])

For specific reasons, please contact customer service for details.

Q: The application page won't let me continue and no error message appears. What should I check?

A: The card application does not take a payment and does not involve your bank, so a step that will not advance is not a declined charge. Please check the following:

  1. Update to the latest version first. Older app versions have a known issue where the application form stops without showing anything: tapping the next step or [Confirm] does nothing at all. Update the Pionex app (or reload the web page) to the latest version, reopen [Wallet] → [Card], and apply again. This resolves most reports of this kind.

  2. Application conditions. Level 2 Identity Verification (KYC2) must be complete, and your account assets must be above the amount shown on the application page. That amount is an eligibility requirement, not a fee — the funds stay in your account. On older versions an unmet condition can leave the page loading with no message, which is another reason to update first. If your KYC country/region is not supported for that card, see the question above.

  3. Cardholder details. Enter them in English or pinyin, following the on-screen instructions. The full name (first name and surname combined, including spaces) must not exceed 25 characters and must match your identity-verified (KYC) name; a longer name is refused with an on-screen message rather than silently, so please do not shorten it to fit — contact customer service instead.

  4. Still stuck? Contact customer service and include your app version number and a screenshot or screen recording of where it stops. The version number is what lets our card team match your case to a known client issue.

Q: The application says my full name exceeds the character limit. What should I do?

A: The card application accepts a full name of at most 25 characters (first name and surname combined, including spaces). The name on the application must match your identity-verified (KYC) name, so please do not drop or alter part of your name to fit the field. If your full legal name is longer than 25 characters, please contact customer service — our card team will review the options available for your case.

Q: Can I change my Pionex Card personal details after applying?

A: Personal details such as phone number and address cannot be changed at the moment, so please make sure everything is correct before you submit. This does not affect normal use of the card.

Q: How many Pionex Cards can I apply for?
A: There is no fixed limit on the number of cards you can hold (this may include a regular card, VIP Card, co-branded cards, etc.). However, all cards must be the same network brand — either Visa or Mastercard — determined by the country/region on your completed identity verification (KYC). You cannot hold cards of both brands at the same time.

Q: Which currencies does Pionex Card support?
A: Pionex Card currently only supports transferring and spending USDT. Other currencies are not yet available.

Q: Which account's funds does Pionex Card consume?
A: Pionex Card has an independent card account. Users need to transfer funds from the primary account to the Card account to make payments or purchases.

Q: What are the fees for the Pionex Card?
A: For detailed fee standards and handling charges, please refer to Fees Description. Any changes will be subject to official announcements.

Q: Where can the Pionex Card be used?
A: The Pionex Card can be used for purchases at physical stores and online platforms that accept Visa globally. Actual usage depends on local regulations and merchant policies.

Q: Does Pionex Card have a physical card?
A: Physical cards are currently being rolled out in phases through specific promotions and regional invitations (for example, activities in Taiwan and Malaysia) — most users only have access to the virtual card at this time. If you're eligible for a physical card, you'll see the option to apply for it directly in the app or on the website. If you don't see this option, physical cards are not yet available for your account. Details of the current invitation activity are available here: [Physical Card Invitation Activity] (available in Chinese only). In the meantime, if you need to make physical or offline payments, you can bind your (virtual) Pionex Card to a digital wallet. For detailed instructions, please refer to our support page: [Digital Wallet Binding Guide]

Q: Can I apply for a Pionex Master Card?

A: The card(s) you can apply for are decided by the country/region on your completed identity verification (KYC), and the application page shows only the card(s) you are eligible for. Accounts verified in Russia can apply for the Pionex Mastercard only — the Pionex Visa Card is not available to them. For other regions availability varies: if you see a "Region not supported" message during the application process, your region is not currently eligible for that card. See Pionex Mastercard for the application steps.

Q: Can I apply for a Pionex Corporate Card?
A: Yes. Click the link below and fill out the application form to submit your Corporate Card application. Our team will review it and notify you of the result: Apply for Pionex Corporate Card
