3. Cashback

Pionex provides up to 1% cashback rewards (no cap) for eligible spending, helping you achieve a near-zero-loss spending experience. Click here to learn more.

Example 1 - First Small Purchase

User A uses the Visa Card at a clothing store to buy a shirt and pants, priced at 61 MYR and 40 MYR, totaling 101 MYR. Assuming the current Visa exchange rate is 1 USDT = 4.1822 MYR, the transaction calculation is as follows:

  • Transaction Amount = 101 / 4.1822 = 24.15 USDT

  • Transaction Fees = 24.15 * 1% = 0.2415 USDT

  • Small Payment Handling Fees = 0

  • Total Transaction Amount = 24.15 + 0.2415 = 24.3915 USDT

Additionally, since every transaction gets a 1% cashback, the user will receive 24.3915 * 1% = 0.2439 USDT as cashback. In effect, User A's card account will only be deducted 24.3915 - 0.2439 = 24.1476 USDT.

According to the above example, the 1% cashback offsets the 1% handling fees, achieving an almost zero-loss transaction.

Example 2 - Partial Refund Transaction

Based on the above scenario, User A later returns the pants (40 MYR) at the store. The user will receive a refund within 30 business days, approximately 40 / 4.1822 = 9.56 USDT. At the same time, the previously obtained cashback will be deducted proportionally based on the returned item's proportion of the total transaction (cashback * item amount ratio = 0.2349 * (40/101) ≈ 0.0965 USDT). Therefore, the actual refunded amount credited will be about 9.56 - 0.0965 = 9.4635 USDT.

If it's a full refund, the entire cashback amount received will be reclaimed.

Note: Transaction handling fees are non-refundable.

Example 3 - Small Transaction (Beyond discount policy range)

User B uses the Visa Card to buy an apple priced at 0.2 USD. Transaction calculation:

  • Transaction Amount = 0.2 USDT (USDT:USD = 1:1)

  • Transaction Fees = 0.2 * 1% = 0.002 USDT

  • Small Payment Handling Fees = 0.2 USDT

  • Total Transaction Amount = 0.2 + 0.002 + 0.2 = 0.402 USDT

Example 4 - Transaction with status "Payment Reversal"

User C attempts to link the Visa Card to PayPal. During binding, PayPal requires a small charge of 1 SGD to verify the card's validity. User C's Visa Card will be charged about 0.7878 USDT. The calculation is as follows:

  • Transaction Amount = 0.78 USDT (using 1 USD = 1.282 SGD as an example)

  • Transaction Fees = 0.78 * 1% = 0.0078 USDT

  • Small-amount payment Fees = 0 (assuming it is still within the promotional policy)

  • Total transaction amount = 0.78 + 0.0078 = 0.7878 USDT

Subsequently, PayPal will refund this amount (1 SGD) to the user. At that time, the order status of this refund transaction is "Payment Reversal". The 1% transaction fees will also be returned to the user, and the user's Visa Card will receive 0.7878 USDT.

Example 5 - ATM Withdrawal

User D uses a Visa physical Card to withdraw 100 EUR from the ATM. Assuming the current exchange rate is 1 EUR = 1.17 USDT, the transaction calculation is as follows:

  • Transaction Amount = 117 USDT (100 * 1.17 = 117)

  • Transaction Fee = 117 * 2% = 2.34 USDT

  • Total Transaction Amount = 117 + 2.34 = 119.34 USDT

Some ATMs may charge an ATM processing fee. Please refer to the applicable fees displayed on the ATM.

Card Account Yield

The USDT balance in your Visa Card Account earns 5% APY. No separate subscription or staking is required, and the balance stays spendable while it earns. Interest is credited hourly to your Card Account. The app’s yield view totals the credits by day, so a per-day figure shown there is the sum of that day’s hourly credits, not a once-a-day payout.

FAQ

Q: Why does my Visa Card account show 100 USDT, but I can't buy a 99 USD item due to insufficient balance?
A: At the time of purchase, the Visa Card will reserve an extra 1% of the bill amount, a 1% transaction fee, which is about 99 * 1.01 * 1.01 = 101.1899 USDT. For a better spending experience, we recommend maintaining an extra 3-5% over the actual spending amount in your Visa Card account.

Q: The merchant shows the transaction failed, but my Pionex Card was charged.
A: A successful status may only indicate an approved authorization, not a completed charge. The amount may remain temporarily held on your card.

  1. Confirm with the merchant whether the transaction was canceled or completed.

  2. If canceled or not completed, the held amount will be automatically released, usually within 15 days.

  3. If the amount is still held, it reduces your available balance and may cause subsequent payments to be declined due to insufficient funds.

  4. If the funds are not returned after 15 days, contact Pionex Support with the merchant name, amount, and transaction time.

  5. If the merchant confirms the charge was completed but the service was not provided, request a refund from the merchant and obtain the ARN (Acquirer Reference Number) before contacting Pionex Support.

Q: Why am I being repeatedly charged a 0.5 USDT payment failure fee?
A: This is typically because you still have uncancelled subscription services or recurring charge settings, and the merchant continues to initiate payment requests while the card balance is insufficient, causing payment failure. Please contact the merchant directly to cancel the relevant subscription or stop the recurring charge. Re-applying for a Pionex Card will not resolve this issue.

Q: I tried to top up my Apple Account using my Pionex Card, but it shows "Purchase Failed."
A: When you pay for an Apple Account top-up directly with a card (not via Apple Pay), Apple requires the card's issuing country/region to match the country/region set on your Apple Account. If they don't match, the payment will fail. Please add your Pionex Card to Apple Pay first, then use Apple Pay to complete the top-up instead of paying with the card directly.

Q: I have already frozen my Pionex Card. Why am I still being charged a 0.5 USDT payment failure fee?
A: Freezing the Pionex Card cannot prevent payment requests initiated by merchants. Please contact the merchant to cancel the subscription service or stop the recurring charge to fundamentally resolve the issue.

Q: Can the 0.5 USDT failed payment fees caused by a merchant’s repeated retries be refunded or waived?
A: Failed payment fees are charged for each failed attempt under the Fees Schedule, including attempts a merchant starts automatically, such as a subscription or recurring charge retrying while your card balance is insufficient. Fees for failures that were not caused by a Pionex system issue are not refunded. To stop further fees, cancel the subscription or recurring charge with the merchant, because freezing your card does not stop merchant-initiated requests.

Q: If my Pionex Card account balance goes negative, will it incur negative interest or compound interest?
A: No. The 5% yield on the Pionex Card only earns interest on positive balances. When your balance is negative, interest earned is simply 0; no additional negative interest or charges will be applied, so your negative balance will not grow because of interest. We recommend topping up your account to restore a positive balance so you can resume earning 5% yield.

Q: Why am I unable to make payments using my Pionex Card?
A: Pionex Card is a service for cryptocurrency payments. Some merchants, based on their risk policies regarding payment methods, may not support cryptocurrency payments. You may check whether there are any transaction records in the Pionex Card. If there are no transaction records, it means the merchant does not accept the Pionex Card as a payment method. APP: Wallet → Card → Visa → Recent Transactions

Q: Where can I get the Pionex Card PIN for ATM withdrawal?

A: The PIN for ATM withdrawals can only be set on a physical Pionex Card. Virtual cards do not support PIN setup and cannot be used for ATM cash withdrawals.

Q: How long will it take for a VISA card refund to be processed and credited?

A: The refund is expected to be credited within 30 business days at the latest.

Q: Where can I check the estimated settlement completion time for a transaction?

A: This time will not be displayed on the transaction details page. You can view it below the asset display area on the card issuance page. Both the App and web versions support this feature. Note: The App must be updated to the latest version to support this display.

Q: How many transactions can I make per day with a Pionex Card? Is there still a daily transaction limit?

A: Pionex Card does not impose any daily limit on the number of transactions. You can use your card as many times as needed per day for purchases, withdrawals, or swipes, provided that your card balance and individual transaction amounts remain within your account’s compliance limit.
