We are aware of public reports of a security incident at TiDB Cloud, a managed database service operated by PingCAP, and that Pionex appears on its list of enterprise customers. We have completed an internal review.
Pionex user data and assets remain unaffected. Pionex only used TiDB Cloud to store a small fraction of logs for internal analytics. That environment has never contained business data, user data, account information, KYC records, passwords, API keys, or asset data.
All core systems are operating normally. We have rotated all related credentials and decommissioned the environment, and will continue to follow the vendor’s investigation.
Please stay alert to phishing emails or messages that reference this incident. Pionex will never ask for your password, verification code, or private keys.
