What is KOL Copy Trading?
KOL Copy Trading lets you replicate the live trading bots of experienced traders (KOLs) on Pionex. Once you copy a bot, your funds run the same strategy as the KOL's original bot independently. If the copied bot closes with a profit, a profit-sharing fee will be charged.（This feature is currently only available on the Pionex App. Website access is not supported at this time）
Prerequisites: Before using the KOL Copy Trading function, you must complete identity verification (at least KYC1) first, otherwise you cannot use this function.
How to find a KOL and copy their bot
In the Pionex App, go to Home → More, scroll to the bottom of the More section, and tap "CopyBot"
Browse the bot cards, or use the search bar to find a specific KOL or trading pair
Tap a card to view the KOL's strategy description, return rate, number of followers, and total copy amount
Tap “Copy” to start the copy trading flow
Set your investment amount (at least 100 USDT per copy order) and confirm
Once copied, the bot runs independently in your account. You can view it under your bot orders.
Viewing copied bot orders on the Website: Whether a copied bot order appears on the Web version depends on the bot type it copies. Some bot types are viewable on both App and Web, others are App-only. If you can't find a copied bot order on the Web, check it in the Pionex App instead.
Profit-sharing fee
A profit-sharing fee is charged only when your copied bot closes with a profit. The fee rate is set by the KOL. Pionex retains 50% of the collected fee, and the KOL receives the remaining 50%. No fee is charged if the bot closes at a loss or break-even.
Supported bot types
KOLs can share the following bot types for copy trading: Futures Grid, Spot Grid, and more.
"Futures Grid, Spot Grid, and more" means the set of shareable bot types is not limited to just these two — Pionex periodically enables additional bot types for KOL sharing. If you are looking for a specific bot type in the CopyBot list and don't see it, it is not currently supported for KOL sharing; check the CopyBot page in the app for the current list of shareable strategies, or contact the KOL to ask about a specific bot type.
What does "AUM" in copy trading statistics represent, and how is it calculated?
AUM represents the cumulative net capital invested by copiers (a running ledger balance), not the current live position value. Think of it as a "total net deposits" ledger — it tracks the net of money flowing in and out, not what those positions are actually worth right now.
Formula: AUM = capital deposited (opening positions + adding margin) − capital withdrawn (reducing positions + withdrawing profits + closing positions)
Why can AUM show 0 USDT even when copiers still have active positions?
If copiers keep withdrawing profits, or reduce positions faster than they add new capital, AUM will trend down to 0 (the system always displays 0, never a negative number). This is unrelated to whether the account still has running positions — it's expected behavior based on how the metric is calculated, not a system error. AUM = 0 only means the net-deposit ledger has hit zero; it does not mean no one is copying. To check whether positions are still active, look at the positions/orders list rather than AUM.

Q: What should I do if I can't find a particular KOL's copy-trading bot?
A: This usually happens because the KOL has stopped sharing their previous copy-trading link, so the old link no longer works and the bot can't be found. Please reach out to the KOL directly for their latest copy-trading link and use that to follow the bot again.
Q: Why am I unable to copy/follow the bot?
A: When you registered your account, you did not use the referrer’s invitation link or invitation code. As a result, the system does not recognize your account as an invited user and you are therefore unable to copy/follow the bot.
