FAQ
Q: Why does my Mastercard account show 100 USDT, but I can't buy a 99 USD item due to insufficient balance?
A: At the time of purchase, Mastercard will reserve an extra 1% of the bill amount, a 3.5% transaction fee, which is about 99 * 1.01 * 1.035 = 103.4897 USDT (for example). For a better spending experience, we recommend maintaining an extra 3-5% over the actual spending amount in your Mastercard account.
Q: Merchant shows a failed transaction, but the amount is charged from my MasterCard.
A: This happens due to the first-time pre-authorized charge by the merchant. Once the payment has failed, but the amount was charged from your MasterCard, it will be refunded within 30 business days. You can pay with the card again to complete the payment.
Q: Why am I being repeatedly charged a 0.5 USDT payment failure fee?
A: This is typically because you still have uncancelled subscription services or recurring charge settings, and the merchant continues to initiate payment requests while the card balance is insufficient, causing payment failure. Please contact the merchant directly to cancel the relevant subscription or stop the recurring charge. Re-applying for a Pionex Card will not resolve this issue.
Q: I have already frozen my Pionex Card. Why am I still being charged a 0.5 USDT payment failure fee?
A: Freezing the Pionex Card cannot prevent payment requests initiated by merchants. Please contact the merchant to cancel the subscription service or stop the recurring charge to fundamentally resolve the issue.
Q: I tried to top up my Apple Account using my Mastercard, but it shows "Purchase Failed."
A: When you pay for an Apple Account top-up directly with a card (not via Apple Pay), Apple requires the card's issuing country/region to match the country/region set on your Apple Account. If they don't match, the payment will fail. Please add your Mastercard to Apple Pay first, then use Apple Pay to complete the top-up instead of paying with the card directly.
Q: Why can't I make a payment with my MasterCard?
A: MasterCard serves cryptocurrency payments; some merchants do not support cryptocurrency payment methods due to their risk policy on payment methods. You may check if there are any transaction records in your MasterCard. If there is no transaction recorded, it means that the merchant does not accept the MasterCard as payment.

Q: How long does it take for a Mastercard refund to arrive?
A: The refund is expected to arrive within 30 business days at the latest.
