How to Buy Cryptocurrency via P2P in Pionex

Step-by-step guide to buying USDT through Pionex's P2P marketplace in the App — selecting a merchant, paying, confirming, and waiting for release. App only, web not yet supported.

Pionex P2P lets you buy USDT directly from verified merchants using local payment methods, with 0% trading fees. Currently, P2P is only available in the Pionex App. The web version does not support this feature yet.

App operation steps

Step 1: On the "Pionex" page, tap [Buy], then select [P2P] from the deposit method panel.

Step 2: On the P2P Trading page, tap the fiat currency at the top right to choose your currency (e.g. EGP, DZD, MAD, TND), then browse the merchant offers. Check each offer's price, limits, verified-merchant badge, and supported payment methods (e.g. Vodafone Cash, InstaPay) before choosing one.

Step 3: Tap [Buy] on the offer you chose. Enter the amount you want to pay or the quantity you want to buy — the "Payable" amount updates automatically within the offer's limit range. Select a payment method, then tap [Buy].

Step 4: On the order page, your funds are fully escrowed by the platform. A payment countdown (usually 30 minutes) is shown together with the merchant's payment details (name, account/phone number). Complete the transfer using an account in your own name that matches your Pionex identity verification.
*Using a payment account under a different name may cause the merchant to reject the trade.

Step 5: After completing the transfer, tap [Confirm Payment], check the box confirming you have made the transfer, then tap [Confirm].
*This step only notifies the merchant that you have paid — USDT is not released automatically.

Step 6: The order enters a pending state while the merchant verifies receipt of funds. Once confirmed, USDT is released to your account — this usually happens within 2 hours. If the merchant has not confirmed after 2 hours, use [Contact Merchant] on the order page, or contact Pionex Support.

FAQ

Q: Can I use P2P on the Pionex website?

A: Not yet. P2P is currently only available in the Pionex App.

Q: Which countries/regions currently support the P2P feature?

A: The P2P feature is currently available in the following countries/regions: Algeria, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, UAE, India, Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, Nigeria, Pakistan, Oman, and Angola.

As long as your KYC verification country/region or current IP address falls within the above range, you will see the P2P entry in your account. If you are unsure whether this feature is available in your region, we recommend contacting customer service for confirmation.

Q: Why was my P2P order rejected by the merchant?

A: This is usually because the payment account name did not match your Pionex KYC name, or a merchant-specific requirement in the order remarks was not followed (for example, no third-party payments).

Q: What happens if I do not pay within the time limit?

A: The order is automatically cancelled once the countdown (usually 30 minutes) ends. You can place a new order at any time.

Q: Is there a withdrawal restriction on USDT bought via P2P?

A: Yes, funds purchased through P2P are subject to a T+1 withdrawal restriction.

Q: The merchant has not released my USDT — what should I do?

A: Use [Contact Merchant] on the order page first. If there is no response after 2 hours, contact Pionex Support for assistance.

Q: Can I use Pionex Card to buy cryptocurrency via P2P?

A: Since Pionex Card does not support bank transfers, you cannot use Pionex Card to buy cryptocurrency via P2P. We recommend that you check the merchant's supported fiat currency transfer methods on the P2P transaction page.
