If you cannot receive the SMS verification code, please check whether the following conditions exist:
1. Setting the numbers as SMS blacklists.
Solution: Pionex's SMS channel may be shared with other providers, please confirm whether the number for sending SMS verification has been added to the blacklist by mistake. If so, unblock it.
2. The operation frequency is too fast, making the previous SMS verification code invalid.
Solution: Please note that the SMS verification code is valid for 8 minutes. We suggest you reduce the frequency of requests and do not repeatedly click the "Resend" button. Wait until you receive the SMS verification code or until 8 minutes have passed before requesting a new code by clicking the "Resend" button.
3. Mobile phone signal network delay.
Solution: Try enabling and then disabling flight mode to refresh the connection and then try again. Additionally, go to a place where you have better network connectivity.
4. The SMS was judged as spam/harassing text messages and stored in the trash.
Solution: Check the trash or spam folder manually to see if you received the SMS from Pionex. If the number for sending SMS verification has been added to your blacklist by mistake, please unblock it.
If you still cannot receive the SMS verification code, try these steps:
Click "Change verification method" and attempt to receive the code through a different service provider by clicking "Resend SMS message with another telecom company". Alternatively, you can request the verification code via phone by clicking "Receive verification code from the phone call".
5. The code shows as "delivered" but never reaches your phone.
"Delivered" means the message was accepted by your mobile carrier's gateway — it does not confirm the message reached your handset. A code can be acknowledged by the carrier and still be dropped before it arrives. Common reasons:
Carrier-side filtering. Some carriers block or filter international SMS. This is the most common cause when you are travelling or using a roaming SIM.
Roaming or a recently ported number. Delivery receipts can be generated by your home network while the message fails on the visited network.
Multi-SIM or eSIM devices. Confirm the code is being sent to the SIM currently active for messaging on your device.
Still not receiving the code? Request a manual unbind.
If the code still does not arrive after trying the steps above, changing the bound number is the resolution. Note that email verification is not a substitute: when both an email and a phone number are bound to your account, both verification codes are required, so you cannot complete the change using email alone.
Submit an unbind request here: Both email and phone number bound (non Google Authenticator bound), how to unbind if lose access to one of them?
Two things to plan for: the review takes up to 72 hours from submission, and after an unbind that you did not perform yourself, withdrawals are restricted for 72 hours.
