When trading with Futures Grid, a single Take Profit or Stop Loss price may not meet complex position management needs. To help traders control risk and lock in profits more flexibly, Pionex has launched the Partial Position (Partial TP/SL) feature for Futures Grid Bot. Currently, the Partial Position (Partial TP/SL) feature is only supported for Futures Grid Bot and is temporarily unavailable for Spot Grid or other trading bots.
This article will introduce in detail the function, App and Web setup methods, calculation logic, and common precautions of Partial TP/SL for Futures Grid.
I. Can a Futures Grid Bot Have Multiple Take Profit and Stop Loss Points?
Yes, Futures Grid Bot fully supports setting multiple Take Profit points and multiple Stop Loss points. The Futures Grid Partial Position feature allows users to set partial TP/SL rules across different price levels for the same running Futures Grid order. When the market price reaches different target prices you set, the Futures Grid bot will automatically close a portion of the position according to the set ratio, thereby realizing locking in profits in batches when reaching stage targets or reducing risk, while retaining positions when the trend continues.
II. Setup Entry and Operation Process for Futures Grid Partial TP/SL
The Futures Grid Partial Position (Partial TP/SL) feature is launched on both the Pionex App and Web simultaneously, and users can configure it for running Futures Grid orders at any time:
1. Setup Steps for Futures Grid Partial TP/SL on App:
(a) Open the App, enter the [Bot] list, and select the running [Futures Grid] order.
(b) On the Futures Grid order details interface, tap the [More] menu, and select [TP/SL].
(c) At the top of the pop-up TP/SL window, switch the tab from "Entire Position" to [Partial Position].
(d) Tap [+ Add TP] or [+ Add SL], set the trigger price and close ratio for different levels according to the prompts, and tap Confirm after verifying.
2. Setup Steps for Futures Grid Partial TP/SL on Web:
(a) Log in to the official website and enter the details page of the running [Futures Grid] order.
(b) In the order details, click the [TP/SL] pop-up window.
(c) Switch to the [Partial Position] tab to configure partial closing rules for different price levels.
III. Core Rules and Calculation Formulas for Futures Grid Partial TP/SL
1. Multiple Level Trigger Execution Priority
After setting multiple Take Profit or Stop Loss levels in the Futures Grid Bot, the system will automatically trigger and execute partial closing in sequence according to "trigger proximity to the current market price".
2. Three Trigger Condition Setting Modes
When setting up Futures Grid Partial TP/SL, three modes are supported:
Price Trigger: Directly enter the target trigger price (USDT).
PnL Trigger: Enter the expected profit or loss amount.
PnL% Trigger: Enter the expected percentage rate of return or loss percentage.
3. Withdraw Investment Calculation
The Futures Grid system will calculate and display the investment amount to be withdrawn after partial closing in real time according to the close ratio set by the user (viewable on the Partial Position settings page).
IV. Limitations and FAQ for Futures Grid Partial TP/SL
1. Futures Minimum Order Quantity Limit Adjustment
If the position size of the Futures Grid order is small, and the closed quantity calculated by the user's set partial close ratio is lower than the exchange's minimum order quantity limit, the system will automatically adjust the actual close ratio to the nearest actionable value.
2. Partial TP/SL Synchronization Limit Between Lead Trader Bots and Copy Trading Bots
There is currently a known limitation: After the lead trader sets Partial TP/SL data on the lead trader bot, it cannot be automatically synced to the followers' copy trading bots. Followers who need to use Partial TP/SL need to pay attention to and manually configure Partial Position rules in their own copy trading bot orders.
3. Partial TP/SL can be set on a running or paused order
Partial TP/SL can be set while a Futures Grid order is running or paused, but not before the order is created. It also works while the bot is paused: if the market reaches a trigger price during the pause, the set portion of the position is closed as normal.
