Can Pionex AI agents trade or move money on my behalf?

What each Pionex AI agent is allowed to do with your account, and how the confirmation step works before anything happens.

Short answer

Some Pionex AI agents can help you place trades or set up bots — but nothing that touches your funds ever runs automatically. Every order, bot, or Earn position an agent prepares is shown to you first, and it is only submitted after you tap Confirm (or Create) yourself.

No Pionex AI agent can deposit, withdraw, or transfer your money, change your security settings, or do anything while you are not actively chatting with it.

Is Pionex AI a fully automated AI trading service that trades on my behalf?

No. Pionex AI provides strategy assistance and automated execution — it can help you plan, write, or optimize trading strategies, and automatically execute actions like placing orders or creating bots according to rules you set or confirm. However, it does not make investment decisions for you, and it does not guarantee any returns. The choice of strategy, parameter settings, and any resulting profit or loss remain entirely your own decision and responsibility. Any market analysis or suggested parameters from the AI are for reference only and do not constitute investment advice.

How the confirmation step works

When an agent is ready to place an order, open a bot, or open an earn position, it does not execute it. Instead:

  1. The agent shows you a confirmation card — or, for trading bots, a pre-filled creation form on the right — with the exact parameters (pair, amount, price, direction, and so on).

  2. Nothing happens until you review it and tap Confirm / Create.

  3. If you want to change something, edit the fields first. Any change re-arms the confirmation, so you always approve the final version.

  4. After you confirm, the agent carries out that one action and reports the result.

Good to know:

  • One action at a time. An agent can only have one pending action waiting for your confirmation. It will not batch several trades into one approval.

  • A pending request expires after 30 minutes. If you do not confirm within that window, you will need to ask again.

  • Sending a new message cancels a pending action. If an agent is waiting for your confirmation and you type something else instead, the pending action is dropped — it is not executed.

  • Your confirmation authorizes exactly what is on the card. The agent cannot change the amount or other parameters after you have approved them.

What each agent can and cannot do

Pai — the default Pionex AI agent

Pai is the trading and portfolio assistant selected by default.

Pai can (with your confirmation)

Pai can always do (read-only)

Pai cannot do

Place or cancel spot orders

View your balances and positions

Deposit or withdraw

Place or cancel futures orders

View your open and past orders

Transfer between your accounts

Create, adjust, or close trading bots (Grid, and others)

View your running bots

Complete KYC or change security settings

Open, cancel, or collect a Dual Investment position

View market data and prices

Act while you are away — Pai only responds when you send a message

Every fund-affecting action above goes through the confirmation card. Pai will never place a second order without asking you again.

Custom agents you create

If you build your own agent in Pionex AI, it runs on the same engine as Pai, with the same capabilities and the same confirmation step for every action. Creating a custom agent does not give it any extra permissions.

Preset agents (AI agents from creators)

Preset agents — such as the trading and analysis assistants published by creators — are mainly built for market analysis and ideas. Some of them can also propose a futures Grid bot or a futures order, and when they do, it goes through the same confirmation step as Pai.

Preset agents:

  • Cannot place spot orders, create spot Grid bots, or open Dual Investment positions.

  • Cannot deposit, withdraw, or transfer funds.

  • Only act when you message them. They cannot monitor your positions or trade in the background between chats. Any "check back in X hours" logic is a reminder for your next visit, not something the agent runs on its own.

Coder

Coder is a programming assistant for writing and debugging trading-strategy code (Pine Script, Python, and so on).

  • Coder can read live market data to help you test and debug code.

  • Coder has no access to your account and cannot place any order, bot, or transaction.

  • For anything involving your account or live trading, Coder will point you back to Pai.

Quant Agent

Quant Agent creates and runs Python strategy backtests.

  • It runs your strategy in an isolated sandbox (it asks you before starting a run) — this uses historical data only and never touches your account.

  • It can host a finished strategy so it pushes buy/sell signals into the chat for you to act on. These are signals only — Quant Agent does not place orders and has no access to your account.

  • It does not handle account support, deposits, withdrawals, KYC, or fees.

What no Pionex AI agent can ever do

  • Deposit, withdraw, or send your crypto or fiat anywhere

  • Move funds between your Spot, Futures, or other accounts on its own

  • Complete identity verification (KYC) for you

  • Change your password, 2FA, or other security settings

  • Place a trade, open a bot, or open an earn position without your explicit confirmation

  • Do anything while you are not in an active chat — no Pionex AI agent trades on a schedule or monitors the market for you in the background

Risk warning

Trading in the crypto market carries substantial risk and the possibility of both significant profits and losses. AI agents can make mistakes, and market analysis or suggested parameters are not investment advice. You are responsible for every action you confirm. Please review each confirmation card carefully and trade cautiously.
